Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Beijing
Upon your arrival at Beijing Capital International Airport, a local driver will greet you with a TCT signboard and escort you to your hotel. Enjoy a free day to relax and acclimate to the new time zone.

Day 2: Beijing City Tour
Your adventure begins in the lobby of your hotel where the TCT guide will meet you. First on the itinerary is the Temple of Heaven, a stunning example of Ming dynasty architecture and a gathering place for locals engaging in morning exercises. Following this, experience a traditional rickshaw ride through Beijing’s historic Hutongs and a visit to a local family. Participate in a cultural activity of painting Peking opera masks. Enjoy an a la carte lunch at a local restaurant, then proceed to Tian'anmen Square and the Forbidden City, exploring its vast array of historical buildings and artifacts. The day concludes with a return to your hotel.

Day 3: The Great Wall and Olympic Venues
An exciting day awaits as you travel to the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall. After exploring, lunch is served near the base of the Wall. On the return to Beijing, stop for photos at the Bird’s Nest and Water Cube from the 2008 Olympics. Suggestions for dinner, like Peking Roast Duck, are available upon request.

Day 4: From Beijing to Xi'an
Visit the Summer Palace, enjoying its classic landscapes and the world's longest art gallery in the Long Corridor. After lunch, board a high-speed train to Xi'an. Your guide will meet you at Xi'an station and transfer you to your hotel.

Day 5: Xi'an’s Historical Wonders
The day begins with a visit to the ancient Xi'an City Wall, followed by a drive to the Terracotta Warriors. Experience a pottery workshop and then enjoy lunch near the archaeological site. Back in Xi'an, explore the Bell Tower Square and the bustling Muslim Quarter.

Day 6: Xi'an to Guilin

Day 7: Longji Rice Terraces and Ping'an Zhuang Village

Day 9: Guilin to Chongqing
Board a morning train to Chongqing. Visit the Three Gorges Museum and stroll through the Hong Ya Dong riverside area. Embark on a Yangtze River cruise in the evening.

Day 10-11: Yangtze River Cruise
Enjoy the landscapes of the Yangtze River including Fengdu, the Qutang Gorge, Wu Gorge, and the Goddess Stream. Optional excursions and entertainment such as the Romance of the Three Kingdoms show are available.

Day 11: Yangtze River Cruise - White Emperor City, Qutang Gorge, Wu Gorge, Goddess Stream

07:30 - 10:15 Optional Shore Excursion: White Emperor City (additional cost: RMB 295 P.P).

Evening Board high-speed train to Shanghai (approximately 7.5 hours).
Night Arrival in Shanghai and transfer to the hotel.

Day 13: Shanghai

Morning Walk through Nong Tang in Shikumen.
Mid-Morning Visit Yuyuan Garden and Yuyuan Bazaar.

Late Afternoon Elevator ride to the 2nd ball of The Oriental Pearl TV Tower for city views.
Evening Drive through Lujiazui and view the modern skyline from the Bund.
