Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival and Muscat by Night
Evening: Arrive in Muscat. Depending on your energy levels, enjoy a quiet dinner near your accommodation. Get a good rest for the adventure ahead.

Day 2: Cultural Immersion in Muscat

Morning: Start your day with a visit to the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, a masterpiece of modern Islamic architecture. Dress modestly for the visit.

Afternoon: Head to the Bait Al Zubair Museum to dive into Oman’s rich heritage and culture.
Afternoon: Explore Al Alam Palace, taking in its beauty and the history it represents, flanked by the Portuguese forts Al Jalali and Al Mirani. Enjoy a leisurely lunch at a local restaurant.

Evening: Wander through Muttrah Souq, one of the oldest marketplaces in the Arab world, perfect for picking up souvenirs and experiencing local life. Dine at a restaurant with views of the Muscat coastline.

Day 3: The Arts, Beaches, and History

Morning: Visit the Royal Opera House Muscat to explore its stunning architecture and perhaps catch a morning rehearsal if you're lucky.

Early Afternoon: Spend some relaxing moments at Qurum Beach, enjoying the serene waters and soft sands.
Late Afternoon: Conclude your day with a visit to The National Museum of Oman, showcasing the history, culture, and art of Oman.

Day 4: Departure or Extended Exploration
You might squeeze in a quick visit to any site you missed or simply enjoy a leisurely breakfast before heading to the airport.

If you want to go to Muscat for longer: Consider a day trip outside Muscat to places like Nizwa to explore its famous fort and souq, or adventure further into the natural beauty of Oman with a visit to Wadi Shab or the Bimmah Sinkhole for some outdoor activities.
