Day 01: Pinnawala/Sigiriya

Travel Time: Approximately 3.5 hours / 150Km

Upon arrival at Colombo Bandaranaike International Airport, meet your guide and embark on a journey to Sigiriya, stopping at Pinnawala along the way. First, explore the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, a sanctuary and breeding ground for wild Asian elephants, located 13 km northeast of Kegalle town in the Sabaragamuwa Province.

Next, visit the Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a striking UNESCO World Heritage Site. This ancient rock fortress, standing 650 feet tall, is renowned for its architectural brilliance, artistry, and historical significance, dating back to the 5th Century AD. Admire the world-famous frescoes of heavenly maidens housed within a cave.

Your day continues with a visit to the gem museum, an elephant ride, and a bullock cart ride through the countryside, where you'll enjoy traditional rural cuisine and various activities. In the latter half of the day, unwind with a spa herbal treatment.

Day 02: Dambulla Cave Temple/Spice Garden/Kandy

Travel Time: Approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes / 90Km

Begin the day with a drive to Minneriya National Park, celebrated for its impressive elephant gatherings, one of Asia's most remarkable wildlife spectacles.

After hotel checkout, proceed to Kandy, visiting the Dambulla Cave Temple (Golden Rock Temple) en route. This historic temple, dating back to the 1st Century BC, features a vast array of vibrant frescoes that illustrate Buddhist mythology and the Buddha's past lives.

Next, travel through the scenic route to Kandy, stopping at a spice garden in Matale along the way.

Day 03: Kandy

After breakfast, visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth and its museum, followed by a trip to the Peradeniya Botanical Garden.

In the evening, enjoy a Cultural Dancing show, explore Kandy Lake, and if desired, take a city tour of Kandy, perfect for shopping and sightseeing.

Day 04: Nuwara Eliya/Tea Garden/Waterfalls

Travel Time: Approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes / 85Km

Departing the hotel, travel into the heart of the tea-growing hills. En route to Nuwara Eliya, visit the Sri Baktha Hanuman Temple on the Ramboda hills, a site associated with the epic Ramayana.

Explore tea plantations, waterfalls, and tea factories, and visit Lake Gregory, a serene reservoir in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 05: Horton Plains

Travel Time: Approximately 1 hour / 28Km

Set off early to Horton Plains National Park, a stunning highland park known for its montane grassland and cloud forest. This biodiversity hotspot is home to numerous endemic species.

Visit Ambewela Farm and a Strawberry farm.

Dinner and overnight stay at Araliya Red Hotel (4****) in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 06: Bentota

Travel Time: Approximately 5.5 hours / 208 Km

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and head to Bentota. Enjoy a boat ride on the Madu River, experience fish therapy, visit a Turtle Hatchery, explore a Moonstone mine, and enjoy shopping in Bentota. Take part in water sports activities and relax on the beach.

Dinner and overnight stay at EKHO Surf Hotel (4****) in Bentota.

Day 07: Departure

Travel Time: Approximately 1.5 hours / 80 Km

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and depart for Colombo, Sri Lanka's commercial capital and a major tourist destination. Explore key attractions such as the Parliament, Gangarama Temple, Independence Square, Galle Face Green, the Museum, and the World Trade Center. Enjoy shopping at large malls.

After an unforgettable 7-day journey, proceed to the airport in time for your departure, taking with you cherished memories of Sri Lanka.
