Day One

Welcome to Albania! Upon your arrival at Tirana Airport, a representative will meet you and arrange your transfer to your hotel. Along the way, we'll stop at the National Historic Museum in Tirana for a comprehensive introduction to the rich tapestry of Albanian history, from ancient times to the modern era.

After checking into your hotel, take the opportunity to explore the local dining scene for dinner, before returning to your hotel for a restful night.

Day Two

Kick off the day with a delicious breakfast at your hotel, before embarking on a journey to Shkodra, a pivotal city in northern Albania and the Illyrian capital in the 3rd century BC. Marvel at the breathtaking views from Rozafa Castle and experience the might of the Illyrians at this formidable site. Explore the Marubi Photographic Museum, showcasing life in the region through historical photographs from the late 19th to the early 20th century.

Stroll through Shkodra’s revitalized pedestrian area, reflecting the city's historical ties with Italy and Austria. The day continues with a visit to Kruja, a symbol of Albanian resistance against the Turks led by national hero Scanderbeg. Discover the Skanderbeg Museum, the rich Ethnographic Museum, and shop for unique handmade souvenirs at the Old Bazaar. Conclude the day with a return to your hotel in Tirana.

Day Three

After breakfast, set off for Vlora, the birthplace of Albanian Independence. En route, visit the medieval Monastery of Ardenica, believed to be Scanderbeg's wedding site, and marvel at its exquisite icon paintings. Continue to the ancient city of Apollonia, a key center in Roman times and a testament to the city's historical significance.

Arrive in Vlora to explore the Independence Museum, located in the very building that hosted the first Independent Albanian Government. After an enlightening tour, check into your hotel in Vlora for a leisurely evening.

Day Four

Post-breakfast, depart for Saranda along the stunning Albanian Riviera. Admire the Ionian Sea from the Llogara Pass and visit the fortress of Ali Pasha. Proceed to Butrint, a UNESCO World Heritage site rich in archaeological and natural beauty, before checking into your hotel in Saranda.

Day Five

Head to Gjirokastra after breakfast, another UNESCO site known for its distinctive architecture. Visit the mesmerizing Blue Eye spring and explore the medieval Castle and Ethnographic Museum. Overnight in Gjirokastra, delving deeper into Albania's history.

Day Six

Journey to Berat, stopping at the ancient city of Byllis. In Berat, a UNESCO heritage town, explore the castle and Onufri Museum, getting a feel for the local architecture and history. Stay overnight in Berat, with the evening at your disposal.

Day Seven

Return to Tirana, with a stop in Durres for lunch by the sea and a tour of its Amphitheatre and Archaeological Museum. Enjoy your final night in Tirana with leisure time to explore.

Day Eight

After your last breakfast in Albania, check out of your hotel. Depending on your departure time, you may squeeze in some last-minute shopping or sightseeing before being transferred to the airport for your flight back home.
